What is rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty is considered to adjust the shape or slope of the nose through a specific configuration on the nasal bones.
Why are rhinoplasty procedures performed?
You often find rhinoplasty and the problems that this procedure can correct are many, including:
- Narrow nostrils that hinder breathing.
- Broken nose.
- Congenital problems in the nose.
- A certain quantity in the shape of the nose, such as the slope, size and angle of the nasal bone.
Am I suitable for rhinoplasty?
Although there is no specific appropriate age for rhinoplasty, between 18 and 40 years is considered an ideal age for the procedure.
If your nose is slightly broken or its shape changes:
- If the fracture results in a change in the position of the nasal bones or cartilage, the doctor may be able to return it to its correct position manually
- If the fracture has damaged your nasal septum — the middle part of your nose that separates the nostrils — your breathing may feel blocked or you may feel like you have nasal congestion. The doctor may recommend reconstructive surgery.
Types of rhinoplasty
Nasal Reconstruction:
This procedure is used in cases in which the patient loses his nose, or suffers from bone and cartilage deformities. So it needs to add bones and cartilage to highlight the external shape of the nose.
Nose reduction:
In most cases, rhinoplasty is performed in order to reduce the nose or make it appear better.
Septoplasty:
It is an operation to treat a deformed nasal septum, which affects breathing and causes headaches. In this procedure, the nasal septum is modified so that it is in a better position for breathing without any obstruction causing nasal obstruction.
Secondary Rhinoplasty:
It is used if the desired results are not obtained in the previous operation
Rhinoplasty with threads: Two types of threads are used in rhinoplasty with threads, which are very thin threads used to sew the tissues inside the nose to rejuvenate the nose without risks, and to reduce the nose.
How are rhinoplasty performed?
Before
performing plastic surgery Plastic surgery is performed with a surgeon who specializes in the field of rhinoplasty for a reason, where he discusses the patient through the execution, determines by examining the nose piercing, and ensures that there is no problem with the nasal option.
After
hearing the patient’s three expectations regarding the appearance he lost, the doctor selected different options for rhinoplasty, which was done with the help of a computer through presentation.
Rhinoplasty operations
- Are made through the final space between cartilage, bone and skin so that the surgeon chooses to sculpt the bones or remove some parts or tissues to obtain the desired result.
- The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia and takes one to two hours to store.
- In cases where surgery is performed, a plaster splint is placed on the nose for two weeks. Chronic nasal plugs are also worn longer for a longer period of time.
- You can return to normal life three days after the operation, and activity about a month after the operation.
- Most of the time the correct change and results can be observed smoothly. However, this usually happened at the end of the surgery six months after it was performed.

What is transcranial magnetic stimulation?
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive and painless technique that uses electrical currents generated by a magnetic field to induce activity in specific areas of the brain (stimulating nerve cells). It’s used to treat depression, and it’s safe and effective for many people who have not responded well to other treatments.
TMS has been approved by the FDA since 2009 as an option for treatment-resistant depression (TRD), which means it doesn’t work well enough when taken alone or with other medications like antidepressants.
How will a magnet affect how the brain works?
Electricity and magnetism are two fundamental physics concepts that are used in trans-cranial magnetic stimulation.
The brain cells in your brain and nerves (known as neurons) use tiny amounts of electricity to send and relay information throughout your brain and body. Bringing a magnet close to your brain can influence your brain’s electrical activity. That’s why transcranial magnetic stimulation targets specific parts of your brain, especially those related to your emotions, internal decision-making, feelings of pleasure, etc.
The magnetic field generated by the TMS device is passed through a small coil, which is placed against your scalp. The coil passes the magnetic field through the brain to stimulate neuron activity in a specific region of your brain. This magnetic field stimulates the brain and produces a response, which can be measured with an electroencephalogram (EEG). The generated magnetic field is not strong enough to cause damage or penetrate your skull.
It’s important to note that TMS is not a cure for depression. Instead, it’s often used as part of an overall treatment plan for depression.

Advantages of transcranial magnetic stimulation:
- It’s a non-invasive procedure that does not require surgery.
- It’s relatively painless, with most people reporting only mild discomfort during treatment.

- Unusually high sensitivity to sound (hyperacusis)

that can also be a heart problem, for sure it could be a blocked coronary artery and you want to get that checked. out one of the best tests for the heart would be something called a C AC test (coronary artery calcification test) …..it’s very fast it’s not that expensive!!
SLURRED SPEECH

- Chemo can dehydrate you so keep water near you and drink a little bit at a time.
- Room humidifier will help keep your skin and lips from drying out.
- Make sure your laptop tablet and phone and chargers are close by so you can communicate with friends and family.
- Make sure you have someone who can help with meals or simple household chores.
- In the days after chemo toxic drugs will leave your body in sweat urine and vomit your caregiver will need gloves to handle laundry and they will need to wash their hands often or use hand sanitizer to protect you both!
